Venia formed in the Fall of 2006. Going through some quick member changes, the final line-up was reached in early December with the addition of their longtime friend Matt Bakken on drums. Venia is built on two driving forces. One, to share the beliefs of the five guys who create the music, and secondly, to reach a more mature level of musicianship, and friendship. Striving to be better than all of the members' former projects, Venia hopes to bring a strong combination of passion, emotion, and talent to the stage. Combining many different aspects of music from harsh breakdowns to catchy melodic sections, and all that lies between, the band hopes to catch people's attention with their recent EP release.
