Appearing amid of the 2000s, the Las Vegas quintet Escape the Fate prided itself, above all else, on energetic and visceral live shows. In a popular strip club, they soon found guitarist Bryan, who subsequently brought in Vegas transplant and guitarist Omar (ex-LoveHateHero) which made them a complete band. They entered a contest hosted by X107.5 that they won. It gave them the opportunity to open for Alkaline Trio, Reggie and the Full Effect, and My Chemical Romance. They then signed to Epitaph Records. Their debut five-song EP, There's No Sympathy for the Dead, appeared in May 23, 2006. Tour dates through the summer followed including several dates on the Warped Tour.
On Smartpunk.com their EP received a rating of 4.98 out of 5 and they were the 4th ranked band on the entire website.
Escape the Fate's first full length album Dying Is Your Latest Fashion came out on September 26, 2006.
The band was recently on the 2007 Epitaph Tour in the Spring, with fellow Epitaph Records bands The Matches, I Am Ghost, and The Higher. On May 1st, 2007 the band left early from their tour with Bullet For My Valentine stating on the band's official MySpace page, their premature departure was "out of their control." However, Escape The Fate will be on the entire Warped Tour summer 2007. They will also be playing the International Taste of Chaos tour in Australia, New Zealand, The Netherlands and the UK in October and November this year.
