The first inception of Cross the Lips of Grace originated in Southside Brisbane, late 2004. As a collective unit, these 4 teenagers (Zimi on Bass, Ashes and Shane on Guitars and Francis on Drums - at the time, aged 16-18 years old) spent their initial period writing and rehearsing material in development of their own original compositions and style. As time progressed, The group's writing greatly matured and their music became something they all loved cohesively, with their compositions getting heavier and far more creative and melodic. After constant rehearsals and countless hours of discussion, The group made the decision to employ a full-time frontman to allow the musicians 100% focus on their instruments and allow them to, in turn, enhance their stage-performance. Chris was the first and only applicant to try out for the lead vocal position in CROSS THE LIPS OF GRACE. As soon as he opened his mouth and let out his first gutteral roar, the band felt he was exactly what they were looking for and asked him to join the band on the spot. Since collaberating with Chris, the band have gone from strength to strength.
