Maxïmo Park are an English band signed to Warp Records, who formed in 2000.
The band have released two double platinum albums; their debut album named A Certain Trigger in 2005, which was nominated for the Mercury Prize and their second album, Our Earthly Pleasures, released in 2007. Their third album named Quicken the Heart, is due for release in 11 May 2009.
The album was produced by Nick Launay, of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Nick Cave and Talking Heads production fame.
The first single from the album "The Kids Are Sick Again" will be released 4 May 2009.
